7.1 What items or listings are prohibited on Airfrov?

Prohibited Items (Singapore Customs)

In accordance with the guidelines laid out by the Singapore Customs, the bringing in of the following items (non-exhaustive) are prohibited under the Singapore law:

  • Chewing gum (except approved oral dental and medicated gum by the Health Sciences Authority)
  • Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products (for example, electronic cigarettes)
  • Shisha
  • Smokeless cigars, smokeless cigarillos or smokeless cigarettes
  • Dissolvable tobacco or nicotine
  • Any product containing nicotine or tobacco that may be used topically for application, by implant or injected into any parts of the body
  • Any solution or substance, of which tobacco or nicotine is a constituent, that is intended to be used with an electronic nicotine delivery system or vaporizers
  • Cigarette lighters of pistol or revolver shape
  • Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
  • Endangered species of wildlife and their by-products
  • Firecrackers
  • Obscene articles, publications and video tapes/discs
  • Reproduction of copyright publications, software, video tapes, video compact discs, laser discs, records or cassettes
  • Seditious and treasonable materials 

Prohibited Listings (Airfrov)

In addition to the list of items prohibited by the Singapore Customs, Airfrov will remove listings which feature (but not limited to) these products:

  • Alcohols and liquors
  • All tobacco products
  • The carrying of parcels not purchased by the traveller
  • "For sale" product listings
  • Certain food products (see below)
  • All forms of chewing gum
  • Arms and explosives
  • Bullet-proof clothing
  • Toy guns, pistols and revolvers
  • Weapons, kris, spears and swords
  • Contact lenses and optometry products
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Medicines and all consumable medication
  • Medical devices and instruments
  • Poisons
  • Counterfeit items
  • Live animals or insects
  • Listings intended to shame other Airfrov users
  • Listings which promote other marketplace platforms
  • Exchange of money/currencies
  • Any other listings Airfrov deems inappropriate

Prohibited Food Products 

Only certain food products from countries approved by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore ("AVA") may be brought into Singapore. For instance, food products from Hong Kong containing duck meat, or from Taiwan containing pork, cannot be brought into Singapore.

When in doubt, always declare your purchases via the Customs Red Channel.

Airfrov will remove and/or amend any listing deemed inappropriate without prior notice to the requester and/or traveller.
